Informix - Problem description
Problem IT36299 | Status: Closed |
UPDATING ROW THAT INCREASES IN SIZE IN A ROUND-ROBIN TABLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE OUT OF SPACE ERRORS
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
If a table using round-robin fragmentation contains a partition that has reached the limit of 16777215 pages it should still be possible to update a row in that partition. This applies even if the row size increases or the version of the page containing the row needs to be updated due to an outstanding in-place alter. The storage provisioning feature may be used to handle error -131 when there is no free disk space within the dbspace, however for error -136 "no more extents" a different solution is required in order to relocate the row to another fragment.
