AN ADMIN CKPT IS INITIATED DURING A LEVEL 0 ARCHIVE FOR EACH LOGICAL LOG DROPPED CAUSING HIGH CONTENTION IN ACTIVE ENVIRONMENT

| Problem description: |
When an archive level 0 is taken after dropping a number of
logical logs, an ADMIN CKPT is initiated for EACH logical log
dropped.
This can cause high contention in a busy environment, especially
when there are Secondaries involved.
Suggestion is to GROUP all the Logical Log drop activity during
the Archive into a SINGLE ADMIN CKPT. |
