USCOLDIST MIGHT NOT YIELD WHICH CAN CAUSE SESSIONS TO HANG WHEN UPDATE STATISTICS HIGH (COL) IS RUN.

| Problem description: |
The customer has a busy system where all users are running with
a shared memory connection.
There is a need to run update statistics medium / high on some
columns which are not part of any associated indexes.
Reviewing procstack for the running thread shows we are
constantly within usbldist->uscoldist during the delay / hang.
The hung sessions are able to run again after the update
statistics completes. |
