HEAVY SYSPROCPLAN LOGICAL LOG ACTIVITY AFTER UPDATING STATS FOR TABLES IN A PROCEDURE OR FUNCTION

| Problem description: |
After upgrading from to 14.10.FC6 there have been occurrences of
heavy logical log
activity when executing prepared procedures. The logical log
activity begins after
running update stats against tables within the procedure. This
problem was first
observed by customers after the aus_refresh_stats sysadmin task
was executed but
my attached repro does not require sysadmin and reproduces by
running update
stats on relevant tables.
This problem does not reproduce in 14.10.FC5 |
