SWITCHING FROM SECONDARY TO PRIMARY ROLE CAN HANG IN 'COND WAIT DRCB_COND'

| Problem description: |
Switching an HDR secondary to primary mode can hang, with only
this much in message log:
04/05/22 13:23:35 Skipping failover callback.
04/05/22 13:23:35 Make Primary state 10 failrecvr 0 type 3
The onmode -d command initating this transition also might not
return to the prompt.
The onmode_mon thread would be seen in state 'cond wait
drcb_cond' and in following stack:
yield_processor_mvp
mt_wait
dr_start_lgr_shutdown
dr_lgr_end
dr_finish_recovery
cloneOnmodeMakePrimary
onmode_monitor
th_init_initgls
startup
while the mreplay thread, the one the above stack is waiting on,
would permanently be seen in state 'sleeping secs: 1'.
A very similar hang might occur with other transitions, e.g.
from RSS to standard mode. |
