SMX THREAD PROBLEMS AFTER A NETWORK DISRUPTION

| Problem description: |
The customer has a source CDR server and a number of target CDR
servers.
They do not have decent network links between these CDR servers
and see constant network disruptions which cause problems with
the communications between the CDR servers and this results in
many disconnects and reconnects.
They can see issues, now and again, when the CDR servers
reconnect because sometimes the number of SMX threads that then
show are incorrect.
There are 4 sets of smx threads created (each set has one
smxrcv, smxsnd & smxRecvSnd thread) because SMX_NUMPIPES is
equal to 4.
They might see between 0 and 3 sets created.
They might see more than 4 sets showing.
Sometimes they might see one extra SMX thread remain which is
missing the corresponding other 2 threads of a SMX set. e.g.
They might see a thread such as "smx_rcv SERVERNAME" but no
associated snmsnd & smxRecvSnd thread.
There is also an occasional situation seen where a CDR server
might show a constant status of "connecting". |
