Mit der Informix Advanced Enterprise Edition Cartridge für IBM Cloud Pak for Data und
Informix Advanced Enterprise Edition Modernization können Sie:

• Informix in jeder Cloud mit Red Hat OpenShift bereitstellen,
• nach eigenen Bedürfnissen auf eine native Cloud Architektur modernisieren,
• Cloud-native Vorteile nutzen (vereinfachte Bereitstellung, Skalierung, nahtlose Upgrades und konsolidierte Verwaltung),
• mit vorkonfigurierten Templates die Bereitstellung beschleunigen,
• neue Benutzer und Ressourcen einfach skalierbar hinzufügen.

Das neue Angebot wird ausschließlich über Virtual Processor Cores (VPC) lizenziert, Trade-Up von Informix Advanced Enterprise (PVU) oder (VPC) ist möglich.

Für einige ältere Informix Server bzw. Informix Tool Versionen, endet der IBM Support zum 30. September 2020. Bitte beachten Sie hierzu auch das Announcement ZP19-0171, vom 9. April 2019 mit der Abkündigung der Informix 11.7.x Versionen.

Übersicht

Mit dem 137 Seiten umfassenden Announcement vom 9. April 2019, kündigt IBM für eine Vielzahl von Produkten neue End-of-Marketing (EOM) und End-of-Support (EOS) Termine an. Davon betroffen sind auch die Informix 11.7.x Versionen und die Informix Advanced Workgroup Edition 12.10.

Für die 11.7.x Versionen stehen als Nachfolger Informix 12.10 oder Informix 14.10 zur Verfügung.

Für die Informix Advanced Workgroup Edition wird es keine Fortsetzung geben, IBM beendet das Angebot dieser Edition zum 9. Juli 2019 (EOM). Kunden, die diese Edition in Wartung haben, werden allerdings weiter unterstützt. Ein Datum für das Ende des Supports (EOS) ist noch nicht veröffentlicht.
