In VARCHAR2 compatibility mode, the SYSIBM.REPLACE built-in
function returns an empty string instead of the expected NULL
value. For example:

Use the TRANSLATE function instead of REPLACE: REPLACE(A,B,'')
-> TRANSLATE(A,'',B). |
