DB2 - Problem description

INSTALLFIXPACK FAILS TO INSTALL IN A HA ENVIRONMENT DUE TO INSTANCES
NOT MOUNTED.

Problem description:
Installfixpack fails to install when an instance is not mounted 
on a standby server in a HA environment. You might see the 
following errors during the installfixpack process. 
 
ERROR: The DB2 installer detects that one or more DB2 instances 
"XXXXX" are active.
Problem Summary:

* Installfixpack uses db2prechk to check the status of all     * 
* instances associated with the copy, so when an instance is   *

* Upgrade to DB2 Version 9.8 Fix Pack 3.                       *

Local Fix:
You can use the -f install option with the installfixpack as a 
workaround.

DB2 Version 9.8 Fix Pack 4 for AIX and Linux
DB2 Version 9.8 Fix Pack 5 for AIX and Linux
