Effective on dates shown, IBM(R) will withdraw from marketing and withdraw from support the following programs licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement: IBM Informix Genero - Program number 5725-D13

• Withdrawal from marketing September 1,2015
• Withdrawal from support September 30, 2016

IBM Informix Genero, an application development environment that helps customers create innovative database applications and modernize existing 4GL code, is a product IBM offers through an OEM relationship with its partner Four Js. To better serve clients and deliver the latest Genero enhancements to them in the most timely manner, IBM is entering a new delivery phase of this product. Effective September 1, 2015, IBM will transfer the sale of Genero licenses to Four Js. Support for current customers will continue to be available from IBM until September 30, 2016. IBM considers Genero to be the best path forward for customers wishing to modernize Informix 4GL applications.

Effective July 15, 2015 IBM will withdraw several Informix Datablade Modules, Red Brick Software and additional Informix Software from marketing, and effective April 30, 2016, withdraw from support.

IBM Informix Client SDK continues as a supporting
program for IBM Informix Editions

Informix Client SDK is a supporting program for Informix database servers in the following Informix editions: Informix Advanced Enterprise Edition, Informix
Enterprise Edition, Informix Advanced Developer Edition, Informix Workgroup Edition, Informix Advanced Workgroup Edition, and Informix Express(R) Edition.

Customers with these Informix servers under a support contract are entitled to obtain support for Client SDK as part of their server support when Informix Client SDK is used to access the Informix server.

A previous announcement that removed Client SDK as a supporting program from some server versions, Software Announcement ZP11-0567, dated December 13, 2011, is decommitted.

You are entitled to obtain support for Client SDK at or above the version specified in your server license when Informix Client SDK is used to access the Informix server.

The Client SDK product will continue to be available as part of the Hosting products.
The code was never pulled from the DVDs that make up the Informix product orderables.

IBM Informix Advanced Developer Edition V12.10

The Advanced Developer Edition V12.10, based on IBM® Informix® Advanced Enterprise Edition V12.10, is licensed in a way that matches requirements for preproduction development activities. Specifically, it is licensed to use the Authorized User metric so that a customers can name users to do the pre-production activities, such as testing, performance evaluation, and quality assurance, before deploying applications in production based on Informix.

Effective May, 2013, Informix is no longer included in the Database Developer Edition. For details, refer to Software Announcement ZP13-0191, dated March 26, 2013. This new edition provides both a path for new customers of Informix and previous customers who use the Database Developer Edition want to move to the latest Informix edition. As needed, existing entitlements of Database Developer Edition and associated support may be exchanged for Informix Advanced Developer Edition at a 1:1 Authorized User ratio.

The Informix Advanced Developer Edition contains the features of IBM Informix Advanced Enterprise Edition with a new software license that restricts usage to nonproduction
activities. On an Authorized User basis, the license permits customers to evaluate and test all features of Informix.
