UNLOADSHIP GENERATES INCORRECT SHAPE TYPE
Produkt: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problembeschreibung:
Whenever the last record contains a null value for the spatial column, the unloadshp tool is always writing the 'shape type' as 0 in the generated shapefile. This makes it impossible to load the generated shapefile with the loadshp command. When loadshp reads a file with shape type 0 the following error is given: > loadshp -o create -l d_gemeente,gem_geom -f d_gemeente -D dbatest -srid 5 -log UDT for shape type 0 not defined. It seems like this issue is being caused by the unloadshp command... as mentioned in our document "If you do not specify the -t option, the type defaults to the type of the first shape retrieved from the database table." at https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSGU8G_12.1.0/com .ibm.spatial.doc/ids_spat_262.htm If the first record contains a valid shape but the last record does not contain a shape, this 'auto-detect' mechanism sets the shape type to '0'. A large problem for the customer is that when the type with the option "-t 5" has been set manually, this value is ignored by unloadshp and it still writes shape type '0' to the shapefile.
