EXECUTE FUNCTION ADMIN("RESET SYSADMIN") ALWAYS CREATES SYSADMIN IN DBSPACE
Produkt: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / B70 - IDS 11.70
Problembeschreibung:
The sysadmin database will be created in the rootdbs and NOT as described in our documentation, in the same dbspace as it was before. In our documentation: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v117/index.jsp? topic=%2 Fcom.ibm.adref.doc%2Fids_sapi_070.htm In the chapter: "Reset sysadmin argument: Move the sysadmin database (SQL administration API)" We describe: "If you specify no dbspace as the last argument, this command drops the sysadmin database, and then recreates it in the same dbspace where it existed before the function was invoked...." and: "The next example destroys the sysadmin database, and then recreates it in the same dbspace." EXECUTE FUNCTION admin("reset sysadmin");

Local-Fix: | |
As workaround move the dbspace back to the designated dbspace with a command like this: EXECUTE FUNCTION task("reset sysadmin","dbs1");
Lösung | |
The reset sysadmin argument: Move the sysadmin database (SQL administration API) topic in the Administrator's Reference Guide incorrectly stated that "If you specify no dbspace as the last argument, this command drops the sysadmin database, and then re-creates it in the same dbspace." The correct information should be: "If you specify no dbspace as the last argument, this command drops the sysadmin database, and then re-creates it in the rootdbs."
