DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT18463 Status: Closed

ADD CAPABILITY TO DISABLE FEDERATED SAVEPOINT SUPPORT.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
Federated server supports application savepoint against DB2 LUW
data sources in v9.5 or later.
Also, federation server might call federated savepoint in a way
to run federated Insert/Update/Delete statements.

However, federated savepoint might cause some problems like
IT08324.
So, this APAR add a capability to disable federated savepoint to
bypass problems due to federated savepoint support.

This APAR introduces new federated server option
IUD_APP_SVPT_ENABLE.
Please add the following server options to disable federated
savepoint.

ALTER SERVER <server_name> OPTIONS (ADD IUD_APP_SVPT_ENFORCE
'N')
ALTER SERVER <server_name> OPTIONS (ADD IUD_APP_SVPT_ENABLE 'N')
