DB2VAL RUN AS INSTANCE OWNER IN DPF ENVIRONMENT MIGHT INCORRECTLY REPORT
FCM VALIDATION FAILURE

Problem description:
DB2 copy validation tool, db2val, run in partitioned (DPF) 
environment as instance owner might report FCM validation 
failure: 
 
Task 10: Validating Fast Communication Manager (FCM) ports. 
Status 10 : Failure 
DBI1338E  The validation of instance <instance_name> failed. 
Reason code=6. 
 
Trace log (db2val -t) will show an issue in chkDPF stage, after 
db2isrv is executed, e.g:

This error can be safely ignored if db2val run as root user to 
verify given instance (-i) reports no issues.

Local Fix:
Verify instance as root user: 
$ db2val -i <instance_name> 
or check FCM communication running db2isrv command manually: 
$ db2_all <installation_path>/instance/db2isrv -query -s 
<db2_service_name>" 
e.g: 
$ db2_all "/opt/ibm/db2/v10.1/instance/db2isrv -query -s 
DB2_db2dpf" 
and confirm that FCM communication port is returned from each of 
the nodes defined in db2nodes.cfg
