DB2: DB2LOOK -L WILL USE AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT MEMORY IN PARTITIONED (DPF) ENVIRONMENTS WITH MULTIPLE DMS TABLESPACES.

| Problem description: |
In partitioned environment (DPF), db2look with "-l" switch, used
to obtain the database layout information (tablespaces,
partition groups etc.), will use an excessive amount of memory
for databases with a high number of DMS tablespaces.
Depending on the number of tablespaces, it might cause paging or
even a system crash. Estimated memory usage from the command
will be:

Problem is specific to Db2 version 11.1 Mod 3 Fix Pack 3 (all
iFixes) |
