| Problem description: |
db2pd -dynamic might report multiple "Dynamic SQL Variations"
existing in the package cache with the same environment and
all have a Val (Valid) value of "N". As a result the statement
associated with this variation keeps getting recompiled
repeatedly instead of finding a cache hit. Side effects can
include overall poor performance (due to having to compile the
statement each time), possible contention on various locks and
latches that can occur due to the high volume of compiles. |
