UTSD6 INTERNAL ERROR: TSCONTNR.C: ### INSERTING INTO ROLLING WINDOW CONTAINER POSSIBLE AFTER INSERTS IN NON-CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
The error may be encountered when trying to insert into a table with timeseries when the datetime being inserted has to create a new container for the interval being inserted into. Prior to the failing insert, the table would have had to had inserts into it that were not chronological. So some inserts causing containers to be created in normal time direction (so older to newer), then inserts that would be older than the currently oldest item in the timeseries data. In certain conditions this seems to be then cause problems with a page split causing a gap to then appear in the intervals listed for the container when selecting it from the TSContainerUsageActiveWindowVTI. This gap is what triggers the internal error. Here's an example of the gap output seen from the select: select tstamp from TSContainerUsageActiveWindowVTI where windowspaces = "" tstamp 2015-02-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-03-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-04-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-05-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-06-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-07-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-08-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-09-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-10-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-11-01 00:00:00.00000 2015-12-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-01-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-02-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-03-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-04-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-05-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-06-01 00:00:00.00000 2016-07-01 00:00:00.00000 *** GAP 1 missing month interval *** 2016-09-01 00:00:00.00000 ...
