DB2 - Problem description

DB2 PATTERN FAILS TO CREATE THE DATABASE USER WHEN THE CHOSEN USER ID IS
ALREADY USED BY LDAP

Problem description:
Currently only the local password and group files are searched 
by the DB2 pattern for available user / group IDS. This can 
lead to problems when LDAP is used for user accounts. This APAR 
will make sure that LDAP users are taken into account by the 
DB2 pattern. 
 
The error message in the log is:

   useradd: UID 501 is not unique
Problem Summary:
The code for UID and GID generate methods were changed to take 
into account the LDAP users
Local Fix:
Solution
A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System 
version 2.2.2.0 in the IBM DB2 with BLU Acceleration Pattern 
version 1.2.4.2.
