DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT19925 Status: Closed

ENCRLIB AND ENCROPTS VALUES MAY BE DISPLAYED INCORRECTLY, OR NOTDISPLAYED
AT ALL, WHEN USING A V11.1 CLIENT TO DOWNLEVEL SERVER

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description:
When an v11.1 db2 client is connected to a downlevel database
server, then a GET DATABASE CONFIG operation performed on the
client may incorrectly display the ENCRLIB and ENCROPTS values,
as described below:

When connected to a v10.1 fixpack4 or later db2 server, or a
v10.5 fixpack3 or later db2 server, the ENCRLIB and ENCROPTS
values will never be displayed, even if they are configured on
the database server.

When connected to a v10.1 fixpack3 or earlier db2 server, or a
v10.5 fixpack2 or earlier db2 server, or a db2 server from v9.7
or previous releases, the ENCRLIB and ENCROPTS values will be
displayed with garbage values, even though they do not exist on
the database server.
