DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT23281 | Status: Closed |
THE DB2HAICU UTILITY MAY APPEAR TO HANG IN A DPF HA ENVIRONMENT CONTAINING MANY HOSTS
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In a DPF partitioned database environment, the db2haicu utility can take a long time to complete processing of remote disk information. This can be perceived as a hang from a user perspective due to the db2haicu command prompts being slow to display. This issue is most noticeably observed in a DPF HA environment containing a large number of clustered hosts. Refer to the lsrpnode command output to display the number of clustered hosts in the environment. Note: If taking a Db2 trace of db2haicu while it is running, it will be noticed that most of the processing time takes place within the sqlhaGetRemoteDiskInfo function.
