APPLICATIONS ISSUING ALTER TABLE ADD/ATTACH/DROP/DETACH MAY DEADLOCK WITH APPLICATIONS REBINDING PACKAGES

| Problem description: |
During ALTER TABLESPACE ADD/ATTACH/DROP/DETACH, Execute stored
procedure may deadlock with applications rebinding packages.
Altering tablespace is used in stored procedure.
The following programs may deadlock.
for example, ADD/DETACH case.
In one connection:
db2 +c "ALTER TABLE TESTTBL DETACH PARTITION
db2 +c "ALTER TABLE TESTTBL ADD PARTITION
In another connection:
CALLING STORED_PROCEDURE
Stored procedure body is selecting TESTTBL |
