DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT25370 | Status: Closed |
POTENTIAL ACCESS VIOLATION IN BANKUNPACKER GETCODES
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Db2 might attempt to reads up to 7 bytes into data which does not belong to Db2, which results in access violation on Windows and SIGSEGV on UNIX. This is more likely to happen on Windows as bufferpool pages get allocated in relative small memory chunks. Pre-requisite: 1-bit encoded data in BLU table need to be in the last bytes of a bufferpool page and the bufferpool page needs to be the last page in a memory chunk allocated by Db2.
