Problem IT28848 | Status: Closed |
DATABASE RECOVERY IS VERY SLOW FOR XA TRANSACTIONS
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When a Db2 database is used as a resource manager in a distributed environment, and the application is setup to use Two-phase commit, there are special log records generated that are not handled optimally during database recovery. This can affect crash recovery, database rollforward recovery, as well as HADR standby log replay, resulting in longer outage time, or HADR standby falling far behind of the primary database.
