IBM SPECTRUM PROTECT SNAPSHOT MAY MODIFY COPY RATE SETTING OF FLASHCOPY
PAIRS NOT UNDER ITS CONTROL

Problem description:
When running backup operations using IBM Spectrum Protect
Snapshot with Storage adapter for CIM devices (SVC,V7K),
copy rate setting of FlashCopy pairs outside of IBM
Spectrum Protect Snapshot's configuration may get changed if
they are not in a consistency group.

Customer/Support Diagnostics:

Depending on the type of storage system one can see in the audit
log commands to change the copy rate coming in with the
credentials specified in the profile file. For example in the
case of SAN Volume Controller:

rate change commands issued by IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot
