INSERTING A BLOB VIA A STORED PROCEDURE CAN CORRUPT BLOB CONTENT
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
When using a stored procedure which is taking a blob argument and storing this blob into a table with the blob being stored in a separate blobspace can corrupt the blob content. The stored procedure scheme is CREATE PROCEDURE p1(col1_byte references byte) ... INSERT INTO tab1(col1) VALUES(col1_byte); with a table containing a blob column col1 like this col1 BYTE in blob1 This happens when the blob inserted is larger than a certain threshold. One observed threshold was 32 KB.
