ERROR -569 POSSIBLE FOR ARCHECKER TABLE LEVEL RESTORE OF MULTIPLE COMPRESSED TABLES

| Problem description: |
When you want to use archecker to unload more than one
compressed table with a single command file you may encounter
error -569 "Cannot reference an external database with
logging.".
This will occur when the target database is not logged. It
happens because usually the sysutils database is logged and the
sysutils database is used by archecker to store the compression
dictionaries read from the archive. To read the compression
dictionary for the second (and following) tables a cross
database query (from the target database to the sysutils
database) is done that leads to error -569 when the logging mode
is not matching.
This explanation also opens the possibility of a work around.
You can change the logging mode of the target database to match
with sysutils. |
